the north trail
the trail walkthrough —->
Starting at the north entrance, we will walk through to Nelson Drive, focusing on the right then returning on the other side.
A volunteer tomato already wants community gardens here!
We pass by mature redwoods, and oleanders
On the right is the Charleston Center entrance, ahead we can see a small garden
Redwood doing what redwoods do, note all the sitting that goes in the Piazza lot
Oleanders and Italian Holly Oak
we walk past the mature Eucalyptus trees (not native)
Entrance to Piazza. On the right is a wide strip very good for sitting, on the left are three very old and beautiful native live oaks
Small parking lot area, used by the dance studios and tennis players primarily
our favorite place to sit for lunch is on the right behind the trees. A couple of live oaks have already sprouted here, no doubt brought by the squirrels from the three mature oaks across the road
can now see through past the batting cages all the way to Nelson Drive
This city property wall might be a good spot for art. The ground area on the right is mostly unkept, some elderberries or other vegetation will make this pretty
Glance inside at the city property
Then out to Nelson exit.
Glance left. Wind blows a lot across this meadow / field
Out the gate, a glance down Nelson
Now back in, walking up the right by the field
Short metal fence all along the walk
Area by the library book sale trailer, three oaks area
and finally out to Middlefield
